Position Overview
We seek a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to help our US client. This role will be instrumental in maintaining financial records for our Philippines entity, coordinating with our external accounting firm, and providing essential financial analysis to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Duties
- Accounts Payable (A/P): Process vendor invoices, manage payment schedules, and maintain accurate vendor records
- Accounts Receivable (A/R): Process customer payments, manage collection activities, and maintain customer account records
- Cash Flow Analysis: Develop and maintain basic cash flow forecasts and reports to support business planning
- Accounting Firm Coordination: Serve as primary liaison with our external accounting firm, ensuring timely submission of documents and information
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial reports and summaries
- Assist with budgeting and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with US accounting standards and practices
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Maintain organized digital filing systems for all financial documents
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably with international companies
- Experience working with Philippines accounting standards and BIR compliance
- Familiarity with US accounting practices (beneficial but not required)
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Zoho Books (preferred) or similar accounting software
- Experience with accounts payable/receivable management
- Familiarity with cash flow analysis and financial reporting
- Knowledge of Philippines accounting standards and BIR requirements
